About this opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking history lessons that help students understand past events, develop critical thinking skills, and appreciate global and cultural perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Teach topics such as World History, African History, Government, Civics, and related historical studies (as applicable to the grade level).
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.
- Develop and administer assessments, assignments, and examinations
- Encourage classroom discussions, debates, and critical inquiry
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress.
- Support students’ academic and personal growth.
- Delivering lessons according to NaCCA CCP. curriculum
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in History, Education (History), or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years teaching experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of national or international history curriculum
- Basic ICT proficiency for instructional purposes.
- Ability to inspire student engagement and critical analysis
