The Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals according to approved menus, hygiene standards, and food safety procedures. The role includes food preparation, kitchen cleanliness, portion control, and proper storage of food items.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menus or instructions.
- Ensure food is fresh, well-cooked, and served on time.
- Wash, cut, season, and prepare ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Store food items properly to prevent spoilage.
- Clean cooking utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Assist with menu planning when required.
Requirements
- Proven cooking experience.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
- Ability to prepare local and/or continental dishes
- Ability to work under pressure.
