About this opportunity
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate should be creative, experienced in food preparation and capable of maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality while working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to the restaurant menu
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to high quality standards
- Monitor food stock levels and inform management of shortages.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Requirements
- Maximum of 2-3 years experience working as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering service.
- Knowledge of local and continental dishes is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
- Must be disciplined, reliable and punctual
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Creativity and passion for food preparation.
